Hiring: Part Time Rental Assistant

Job description

We are looking for a motivated person to join our rentals team.

We are a friendly, down to earth team. Rota includes weekends as standard, hours are day shift only (9am-5pm) and we shut over Christmas and New Year so you are guaranteed those days off every year.

This is a varied and fast paced role that is part desk based and part practical, perfect for someone who is computer literate but doesn’t want to be sat at a desk all day.

Our ideal candidate would have rental experience (eg car rental) or experience of caravans, motorhomes or campervans (including being an owner or using one recreationally). Someone who is able to give great customer service, can think on their feet and is ready to get to the next level in their career.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Taking bookings from customers
  • Liaising with our valeting team and making sure the motorhomes are looking great for their hire
  • Checking all paperwork and payments are up to date for their hire
  • Doing check in and out of the motorhomes when the customer starts and begins their holiday
  • Answering any enquiries while the customer is away (eg to talk them through how to use something if they’ve forgotten, or arranging repairs if something is damaged on their journey – these are often time sensitive to make sure customers make the most of their holidays so staying calm under pressure is a key skill here

As you progress you will incorporate new responsibilities including

  • Liaising with marketing to maximise bookings
  • Reporting to senior management and sitting in on meetings to progress the future of the department

Full training on systems and how the motorhomes work will be provided.

Glastonbury motorhome hire

Glastonbury Campervan and Motorhome Hire

Secure your motorhome or campervan hire for Glastonbury 2024 with Motorhome Rent UK. We know that booking without tickets can be a gamble, so you can cancel your hire on ticket resale day 2024 if you aren’t successful.

Glastonbury is an iconic festival – almost as iconic as the UK weather. We’ve got you covered for all eventualities, with heating and a hot shower for the washout, or a sun canopy for the blazing hot sunshine.

We’ve got a number of layouts to choose from for your Glastonbury motorhome hire. We have 2 berth campervans up to 6 berth A class motorhomes. All can be driven on a standard driving license.

How Do I Organise A Group Booking for Glastonbury?

If it’s all of you sharing one motorhome, you can easily pay in separate payments in person or over the phone. We will require one of you to provide the security deposit (which looks like a pending payment in your bank account but isn’t actually removed).

If you want to book multiple motorhomes, we’d recommend you book at the same time (either on one payment or separate) so you can ensure you get the models you want and you’re booked in for your handover at the same time. Glastonbury is a busy time for us so our handovers are staggered out so you aren’t waiting around. Security deposits for each motorhome will be handled separately, so each one will need a different person to take responsibility for that.

What if the motorhome gets really muddy at Glastonbury?

Whilst we love it when a motorhome comes back as gleaming as it left, we are realistic about the Glastonbury site. Exterior mud is fine, but we do ask that you bring the interior back in a clean condition. Top tip: leave the wellies outside the motorhome or in the exterior locker so you aren’t tempted to put your feet up on the seating or bed!

How do I book?

Call us on 01772 685949 and secure your dates before they’re booked up!
